&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 1.2em;"&gt;Together with Professor Jim Toouli, she introduced the Swedish Adjustable gastric band to Australia and is internationally one of the leading investigators of &lt;a href="http://www.adelaidebariatriccentre.com.au/vagal-block-therapy"&gt;vagal block therapy&lt;/a&gt; for the treatment of obesity.&amp;nbsp; Lilian is a council member of the &lt;a href="http://www.ifso.com/"&gt;International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO),&lt;/a&gt; President of the IFSO-Asia Pacific Chapter and the past president of the &lt;a href="https://anzmoss.com.au"&gt;Australian and New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgery Society (ANZMOSS)&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 1.2em;"&gt;Over the years, Lilian has visited many bariatric clinics around the world and is of the firm belief that bariatric surgery works better with an effective support programme.&amp;nbsp; Lilian has been at the forefront along with her colleagues at the Adelaide Bariatric Centre in developing a very effective multidisciplinary programme for supporting our patients in their weight loss journey.&amp;nbsp; The programme in Adelaide was one of the initial ones adopted in Australia and internationally and the first to be used in South Australia.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 1.2em;"&gt;Lilian and her colleagues are firmly committed to providing this very important multidisciplinary support for our patients:&amp;nbsp; a programme which clearly makes the Adelaide Bariatric Centre the leading centre for the management of weight loss in South Australia and one of the leading centres in the world.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Jacob received his undergraduate degree (MBBS) from the University of Adelaide, a postgraduate research degree (Masters of Surgery) from Flinders University and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He trained in surgery at the Royal Adelaide and Flinders Medical Centre before completing a bariatric fellowship in 2007. Jacob was appointed chief surgical resident at Flinders Medical Centre in 2008 and has been a consultant surgeon at that institution since 2010. Jacob joined the Adelaide Bariatric Centre in 2010.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Jacob has presented at both national and international obesity meetings in addition to authoring multiple publications in leading obesity journals including Obesity Surgery and Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases. A particular interest is the deleterious impact of obesity on liver function and how obesity surgery can reverse these changes. Jacob is a member of professional upper gastrointestinal and obesity surgery bodies OSSANZ, IFSO and ANZGOSA.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Jacob continues to be involved in the provision of bariatric surgery in the public hospital setting as well. Jacob performed the first sleeve gastrectomy at Flinders Medical Centre in 2010.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Jacob believes in an individualised approach to obesity surgery rather than one operation for all. He is experienced in &lt;a href="http://www.adelaidebariatriccentre.com.au/gastric-band-surgery"&gt;gastric band&lt;/a&gt;, &lt;a href="http://www.adelaidebariatriccentre.com.au/sleeve-gastrectomy-surgery"&gt;gastric sleeve&lt;/a&gt; (sleeve gastrectomy) and &lt;a href="http://www.adelaidebariatriccentre.com.au/gastric-bypass-surgery"&gt;gastric bypass&lt;/a&gt; all performed as a keyhole procedure. He also has experience in revisional surgery, in particular the conversion of gastric band to gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy through the keyhole approach. Jacob is also interested in novel endoscopic (through the mouth) techniques for the management of obesity and is proficient in endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty, intragastric balloon and Endobarrier insertion.&lt;/p&gt;

She was awarded scholarships from both The University of Adelaide and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons for the research which was the basis of her Master of Surgery degree granted by the University of Adelaide whilst still training as a General Surgeon. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in General Surgery, having been trained at all tertiary hospitals in South Australia and the Northern Territory.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Tiffany was employed as a Visiting Surgeon in Whyalla, Port Lincoln and Mount Gambier Hospitals before undertaking sub-specialty training in Upper Gastro-intestinal Surgery at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She completed sub-speciality training in Bariatric Surgery in Sydney at St George Public Hospital and St George Private Hospital, the highest volume bariatric hospital in Australia, and subsequently at Flinders Medical Centre and the Adelaide Bariatric Centre.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Tiffany has presented and published research at national and international levels. Her principal focus is the provision of primary bariatric surgery and has a strong commitment to the multi-disciplinary approach in achieving optimal weight loss outcomes. She retains great interest in the provision of General Surgery procedures. &lt;p&gt;Dr Lorenzen has extensive prior hospital experience, in all facets of hospital care. He has worked in all of Adelaide&amp;rsquo;s major hospitals, as well as in rural and remote areas. He went on to develop a high quality general&amp;nbsp;practice service, until his interest in overweight management grew. He has also been extensively involved in general standards, having been the past Chairman of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and having spent 9 years on the board overseeing general practice training in South Australia. He has held positions within the SA Health Commission. He&amp;nbsp; has also been involved in medical research at the Women&amp;rsquo;s and Children&amp;rsquo;s Hospital and remains a trustee of one of its research foundations.&lt;/p&gt;

She has practiced in both rural and metropolitan locations in both South Australia and Victoria, namely the Riverland followed by 12 years in Mildura. She relocated back to Adelaide in 2007 working primarily in General Practice. Over the years Margaret has held numerous hospital appointments most recently at the Women`s and Children`s Hospital Antenatal Clinic.&amp;nbsp; She has also worked for SHINE SA in sexual health and in Mildura she was GP medical adviser for the Mildura Base Hospital community mental health team.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During her career Margaret has been able to foster and develop particular areas of interest and expertise particularly in the area of lifestyle management, weight control, counselling, preventative medicine and women's health . The importance of the relationship between emotional and physical wellbeing is at the forefront of her work with the aim of lessening the burden created by obesity. She has been a keen educator throughout her postgraduate years, both within the community, but also in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Most recently Margaret has been teaching for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner`s pre fellowship educational programme. She has previously held the appointment of clinical lecturer at Monash University Regional Medical School in Mildura.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Margaret is accredited in the delivery of focused psychological therapies and has done training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Her approach to the individual is holistic and she endeavours to assist others to develop the emotional willingness and behavioural skills necessary to tackle their personal challenges in life. In particular during their individualised weight loss journey. Nick now works full time in private practice, where he continues to see people for gastrointestinal conditions, but also bariatric surgery clients.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Nick has over 15 years experience in the management of bariatric patients. Nick has continued this interest over the years and is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team at Adelaide Bariatric Centre.&lt;/p&gt;

In 1999 Jane made a decision to focus her career on caring for the bariatric patient. She has worked on all aspects of the patient&amp;rsquo;s care from the ward to working in the operating room and post anaesthetic care unit. In 2005 she was one of the original team members at the Adelaide Bariatric Centre where she assumed the role of clinical research coordinator and clinical nurse.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Through her research work, Jane has presented at local and international obesity meetings with particular focus on the patient care element of bariatric surgery. At a clinic level Jane is involved in many aspects of patient care, from weighing patients at appointments, visiting patients after their surgery and providing phone support for medical and other needs, along with the administration of the patient support groups. Additionally Jane provides support to the hospitals aligned with our team and provides in-service education and training to their staff. Jane is enthusiastic about the patient and their journey and is always motivated to help the patient achieve their best outcome from surgery.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Lora Graduated from Regency TAFE with a Diploma in Fitness and Advanced Rehabilitation in 2010.&amp;nbsp; Since graduating, Lora has gained vast experience working in both clinical and gym based settings.&amp;nbsp; Lora specialises in customising fitness programs for both corporate health and private clients and currently works within a physiotherapy setting, providing exercise programs specific to pre and post surgery rehabilitation.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Working within a variety of settings has given Lora the opportunity to work with people from all backgrounds, ages and abilities.&amp;nbsp; From these experiences Lora has gained valuable knowledge in providing exercise prescription for chronic diseases, including a variety of metabolic disorders, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal conditions.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Lora is very passionate about health and fitness and since graduating, has undertaken further studies in rehabilitation and has recently obtained Level 2 qualification in pilates mat instruction.&lt;/p&gt;
